

Pauline Subotich passed away peacefully at home with her loving family by her side on December 13, 2012 at the age of 91. She was born on November 17, 1921; daughter of Milan and Anna (nee Toth) Petrov. Pauline graduated from Commerce High School in 1939 in Detroit. She worked at Burroughs with her father and sister during WWII making Norden Bomb Sights for the war effort. Pauline Petrov married Robert Subotich during a two week leave from the Navy. They were married at Revanica Serbian Church in Detroit on December 3, 1944. After their wedding, Robert was deployed in the massive armada to attack Japan when the war ended. After the war they bought a house in St. Clair Shores where they raised their four children. Mrs. Subotich enjoyed crocheting. She was active at Church, singing in the choir. Pauline loved traveling with the choir all over the country. After the children were adults, Mrs. Subotich began working at Hudson's in Eastland Mall, selling pharmaceuticals. She retired in 1988 after twenty-five devoted years of employment. She leaves behind her loving sons Nicholas (Crystal) and Sam (Sue); and daughters Charna (Bill) Misajlovski, and Marianne (Tom) Naumovski. She was proud of her 8 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren. Her husband Robert passed away in 1975. Visitation will be held on Sunday from 3:00 until 9:00 pm at A.H. Peters Funeral Home, 20705 Mack Ave., at Vernier Rd., Grosse Pointe Woods. A Pomen service will be held at 7:00 pm. Pauline will lie instate on Monday from 10:00 am until the Funeral at 10:30 am at St. Stevan Decanski Church, 14235 E. Eleven Mile Rd., Warren, MI 48093. Memorial contributions may be made to the Church building fund.
