Patricia Scanlon, age 90 (April 18, 1932–May 17, 2022). Born in Detroit to Antionette and Frank Luszczynski, Patricia attended Northeastern High School and went on to the University of Detroit. She taught in the Harper Woods School District for many years.
She married Thomas Scanlon, and they spent many happy years together before his death in 2008. She was a member of the Detroit Athletic Club, the Detroit Yacht Club, and was a great sports fan, especially her beloved Tigers. She was proud that she had attended every Tigers World Series home game.
She loved to travel, and she loved dogs — especially Schnauzers. She will be missed by her brother- and sister-in-law, Tim and Pamela Scanlon, and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and extended family. She will be fondly remembered by many friends and neighbors in the community she cherished. A service in her memory will be held at St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church in St.Clair Shores on Wednesday, May 25th at 10:00 am. She will lie instate at the Church at 9:30 am.
