Pamela Dean DiCicco was born in Detroit on October 18, 1951 the daughter of John W. and Helen Dean. She graduated from Bishop Gallagher High School where she was an excellent athlete. She played and coached basketball and was an informal "social director" for various alumni activities throughout the years. Pam married Ron DiCicco and they raised their children Christopher and Kelly in Grosse Pointe Woods. Their home grew to be a gathering place for their children's friends a place of constant warmth and laughter. Pam was like a second mom to so many kids who passed through her life. As a huge Michigan State Spartan fan Pam watched as many games as she possibly could cheering loudly and wholeheartedly: Go Green! Pam enjoyed music, dancing and loved "putzing" (as she called it) around her beautiful garden, which was full of enormous flowers she lovingly tended to throughout the warm months. Pam is former member of Lochmoor Country Club in Grosse Pointe Woods, where she enjoyed many ladies golf outings. Anyone who knew Pam will attest to what a wonderful friend she was. Her kindness and generosity led to friendships that spanned from kindergarten all the way through her final days and includes "The Harper Crowd" and her "Forever Friends." Her devotion to her children and grandchildren was incredibly deep. She was very active in their lives and loved babysitting whenever she possibly could. Pamela is survived by her daughter Kelly Scott (Lowell) and her son Christopher "Ferg" DiCicco (Julie). She was the loving grandmother of Spencer, Jack, Blake and Madison. She is also survived by her siblings Tom Dean, John Dean, Judy Nygren, and Jim Dean. Her former husband Ron DiCicco also survives her. Memorial visitation will take place on Monday from 3-9 p.m. at the A. H. Peters Funeral Home, 20705 Mack Avenue, Grosse Pointe Woods. Family and friends will gather 10:30 am Tuesday until time of the Memorial Mass 11:00 am at Our Lady Star of the Sea Catholic Church, 467 Fairford, Grosse Pointe Woods.
