Growing up she attended St. Paul on the Lake Catholic School until she left for Michigan State University where she developed a passion for Nursing and went on to serve as an Operating Room Nurse at Henry Ford Hospital. Michelle met her husband, John Kozak, one faithful evening at the Roostertail in Detroit dancing to "Michelle ma Belle", the two fell in love. They were married January 27, 1967, and have four children who were her heart and soul. After having children, Michelle dedicated her professional life working for J.Kozak Sales, the business started by John and run by him and Michelle. She served the church in many different capacities such as, wedding coordinator, Eucharistic minister, lector, and was a devout member of the Altar Society. She was also a volunteer at The Covenant House and the Capuchin Soup Kitchen. Some of her many hobbies included developing a mastery in needlepoint and knitting. Many considered Michelle a friend, a confidante, a neighbor, a caretaker, and most of all, a mother. Her intrinsic nature was to provide for people.
