

Mary B. Davis, age 93, died peacefully at home on October 6, 2009. She was born in New York City on December 11, 1915; daughter of Andrew and Rose Brenner. Her family moved to Detroit when Mary was under a year old. Mary loved to swim and dance as a young lady. As she aged she enjoyed traveling, playing cards and reading. Mrs Davis retired as Detroit City Councilman William Rogell's secretary in 1982 after many years of service. After her retirement Mary moved to Harper Woods. Mrs. Davis leaves behind her daughter Barbara and her niece Marcia Kuypers. She was predeceased by her husband Frederick and sister Anne Loush. Visitation will be held on Thursday and Friday from 2-8 pm at A.H. Peters Funeral Home 20705 Mack Ave., at Vernier Rd., Grosse Pointe Woods. A Scripture Service will be held on Friday at 7:oo pm. She will lie instate Saturday from 10:00 am until the time of the Mass of the Resurrection at 10:30 am at Our Lady Queen of Peace Catholic Church 20955 Bournemouth, Harper Woods. The Reverend William Herman will officiate. Mrs. Davis will be buried next to her husband at Mt. Olivet Cemetery in Detroit.
