Kathleen Joan Nichols

Kathleen J. Nichols died on Sunday, October 6, 2019. She was born in Battle Creek, Michigan; the daughter of Fannie Mae and Joseph Standish and raised also by Leslie and Nelle Derhammer. Kathleen graduated from the Highland Park High School in 1952 and just two years later graduated from the Highland Park Community College. She worked for Chrysler from 1954 until 1958. She was a deaconess at First Baptist Church of Sterling Heights and a member of Faith Baptist Church of Warren. She loved playing the piano and enjoyed completing trivia and crossword puzzles. She stayed knowledgeable with current events and was always interested in other people. Beloved wife of the late William L. Nichols. Loving mother of 3 daughters, Brenda (Jim) Mazurek, Sandra Nichols, Sylvia Nichols and one son Glen Nichols. Cherished grandmother of one and great-grandmother of 14. Kathleen is survived by three brothers and predeceased by one sister and one brother. Visitation will be held on Friday, October 11, 2019, from 4:00 pm until 8:00 pm at the A.H. Peters Funeral Home, 32000 Schoenherr Road at Masonic, Warren. The funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 12, 2019, at 12 noon at the funeral home with Pastor Tim Berlin officiating. Interment will take place at the White Chapel Cemetery in Troy, Michigan.
