

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Jeffrey Joseph Kirkman, age 64, on March 3, 2025, surrounded by his loving family. Jeffrey was a devoted husband, father, and friend, who enriched the lives of those around him through his faith in God, unwavering love for his family, and dedication to his career in financial services which defined his remarkable life.
Jeffrey was born on June 9,1960 to his loving parents Josephine and Nolan and his dear brother Ronald. Jeffrey flourished in his education, graduating from Grosse Pointe North and achieving a Bachelor’s Degree in Applied Electronics from Siena Heights University and another in Business from Michigan State University. Jeffrey was a man of many interests, but his heart was always drawn to stories of the past. His enthusiasm for history was not only a personal interest but also a way to connect with others, inspiring many to appreciate the lessons of those who came before us. He was an avid reader, especially enjoying audiobooks, and was always excited to share his knowledge.
Jeffrey was a proud Italian-American and a devout Catholic who never missed his 4:30 pm mass. He was a respected 4th degree member of the Knights of Columbus Leo the XIII Council. Jeffrey was an important part of the St. Veronica Catholic Church community. He organized a Mass Mob event in 2016 and was looking forward to the 100th anniversary of the parish in 2026.
Over the years, he worked tirelessly to provide for his family while helping countless clients navigate their financial journeys. Known for his high integrity, expertise, and compassionate nature, he earned the respect and admiration of colleagues and clients alike by paying special care to people’s needs with acts of service. He devoted himself to his lifelong career by working with prestigious companies (Raymond James, Sigma Financial) as well as owning his own company (KM Financial). He understood the importance of financial literacy and was committed to helping others navigate the complexities of money management. His colleagues admired him, not just for his kindness and leadership, but also for the ability to inspire those around him. In 2024, he received an award for mentorship and coaching from Aytella.
Above all, Jeffrey cherished his family. He was a loving and faithful husband to Tina for 34 years and a selfless provider and educator to his children Nolan and Sofia. He took great pride in being an active participant in their lives. He was the cornerstone of his household, and his wisdom shaped the lives of those around him. His home was a sanctuary filled with laughter, love, and shared traditions that instilled in his children a pride in their heritage.
Jeffrey is survived by his beloved wife Tina, his children Nolan (Rachel) and Sofia, his brother Ronald (Vicki), as well as and a host of other relatives and friends who will miss him dearly. He was preceded in death by his mother Josephine and father Nolan.
A visitation for Jeffrey will be held Friday, March 7, 2025 from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM at A.H. Peters Funeral Home, 20705 Mack Ave, Grosse Pointe Woods, Michigan 48236. A scripture service will occur Friday, March 7, 2025 at 6:30 PM, 20705 Mack Ave, Grosse Pointe Woods, Michigan 48236. A rosary will occur Friday, March 7, 2025 at 7:00 PM, 20705 Mack Ave, Grosse Pointe Woods, Michigan 48236. An instate will occur Saturday, March 8, 2025 at 9:30 AM at St Veronica, 21440 Universal, Eastpointe, MI 48021. A funeral mass will occur Saturday, March 8, 2025 at 10:30 AM at St Veronica, 21440 Universal, Eastpointe, MI 48021.
