Jason Thomas Holmes

Jason Thomas Holmes, age 39 of Sterling Heights, passed away February 26, 2018. He was born in Detroit on November 9, 1978; the son of Gerald Victor Jr. and Candice (nee Tasco) Holmes. Among many things; Jay will be remembered for his selfless nature when caring for his family. He was there for his grandparents and was always willing to help anyone at any time. Most of all, Jay worshipped his kids. They were the world to him. Jason is dearly loved and will be deeply missed by many. Adoring father of Lucas and Evan Holmes. Loving fianc of Brenda Wend. Loving brother of Wendy (Robert) LaFave. Cherished son of Gerald "Victor" Holmes and the late Candice Blarek. Caring step-son of Mark Blarek Caring grandson of Phyllis and the late Gerald Sr. Treasured nephew of Lee Holmes, George Holmes, Doug (Laurie) Holmes and Kenneth Holmes. Jay is also survived by many caring nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Jason will lie instate with his grandfather, Gerald Sr. on Thursday, March 1st from 2:00 PM until 8:00 PM at A.H. Peters Funeral Home, 20705 Mack Avenue at Vernier Road, Grosse Pointe Woods. A funeral service will be held on Friday 10:00 AM at the funeral home.
