Carter, Hilda. Age 89, Died February 3rd at William Beaumont Hospital of Grosse Pointe. She was born in London, England on December 11, 1925. She was the Red Headed 14th floor executive receptionist at the General Motors Building. Hilda was a survivor of the London Blitz of 1940 and also a survivor of the Santa Cruz, CA earthquake on October 17, 1989. She was vivacious, kind, funny and loved by all. Hilda is survived by her sister June Greenwood of San Francisco and nieces and nephews. "Remember the animals!" was Hilda's cry. A Memorial service will be held at a later date.
