Grandmother of Dr. Michael (Dr. Sara) DeNardis, Julie DeNardis, Jay Ricci (Evelyn), T. R. Youngblood (Terese), Jennifer Youngblood (Terry Farrell), Andrew Ricci (Christina) and Gina Ricci. Great grandmother of Coco Irene Farrell and Joseph Thomas Ricci. Funeral service Sunday 2 pm at the A. H.. Peters Funeral Home 20705 Mack Ave. at Vernier Rd. Grosse Pointe Woods. Visitation Saturday 2-8 pm with a Rosary 7 pm. Memorial contributions may be made to Cornerstone Hospice Foundation 2445 Lake Park Dr. Tavaras, FL 32778 Frances Ricci joined her much missed husband, John at 2:25 am on Novemver 4, 2009. She was the last surviving child of ten born to Bessie and Benjamin Veach of Greenup, Kentucky. She came to the Detroit area with her husband and raised four children: Susan DeNardis, Joseph Ricc (Susan), John Ricci (Janis) and Mary Ricci. Fran loved to cook Italian food. Holidays were typical Italian feasts with numerous relatives enjoying the fruit of her labor. Besides being a dedicated wife and mother, Fran loved having her grandchildren with her. Michael (Sara) and Julie DeNardis and Jay (Evie) and Andrew (Tina) Ricci were frequently with her at her cottage on Triangle Lake. She could be found trying to catch turtles, baiting fish hooks with hotdogs or in a paddle boat with a grandchild. Gina Francesco Ricci (Mary) was her last grandchild. Gina's bright and lively personality always inspired a smile and a twinkle in Fran's eye. Two other grandchildren by marriage rounded out Fran's family, T. R. Youngblood (Tracy) and Jennifer Youngblood. She was also recently blessed with two great grandchildren, Thomas Ricci (Jay and Evie) and Coco Farrell (Jenifer Youngblood and Terry Farrell). Always a hard worker, Fran enjoyed her 25 years work experience at Merit Drug Store in Harper Woods and several more for her son, Joe Ricci at his Grosse Pointe Jeep dealership.
