Elizabeth Ann Bultinck

Elizabeth Ann Bultinck, age 91 died peacefully on May 14, 2012 after a brief illness. She was born in Detroit, Michigan on February 15, 1921, the daughter of Adam and Mary Urquhart (nee Murphy). Betty grew up on Detroit's eastside and graduated St. Philip Neri High School. She worked a brief time at the "Dime Store" (S.S. Kresge) until she married and started her family. Betty was a volunteer at St. John Hospital in Detroit for 33 years. She was a member of the St. John Fontbonne. Mrs. Bultinck was a very religious woman and a member of St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church in St. Clair Shores. Fr. Solanus Casey from the Capuchin Monastery held a special place in her heart. She enjoyed gambling at the Greektown Casino, playing B-I-N-G-O, scrap booking and travel. She also enjoyed watching sports, particularly the Detroit Tigers, Detroit Pistons, and the Detroit Red Wings. Betty is survived by her children, Jerry (Denise), Mary Ann DeRonne (Larry), Betty Jane Hubbarth (Mike), Margie Olinzock (Paul); her 10 grandchildren, Ann, David, Tricia, Kristin, Matt, Jeff, Michael, Andrew, Paul and Liz; 10 great-grandchildren and siblings Bonnie Dew, John Urquhart, Richard Urquhart, Theresa Kelly, Nancy Boguth and Suzy McClellan. She was predeceased by her husband Jerome and her daughter Nancy Bultinck. Visitation will be held from 3:00 to 9:00 pm on Thursday at the A. H. Peters Funeral Home, 20705 Mack Avenue at Vernier Road in Grosse Pointe Woods. A Scripture Service will be held at 7:00 pm Thursday evening. Her body will lie instate at St. Isaac Jogues Catholic Church, 21120 Madison, St. Clair Shores from 11:30 am Friday until Mass at 12 noon. A private interment will follow at Resurrection Cemetery in Clinton Township.
