Elaine Ruth Turley

Elaine Ruth Turley passed away on Monday, November 13, 2017 at the age of 82. She was born on Friday, August 2, 1935 in Detroit, Michigan; daughter of the late Chester and Ruth Minor. Elaine met her future husband Clinton Wilbur Turley while they were both classmates at Lincoln Park High. When she was 20 years old they were wed at the Justice of the Peace on Tuesday, November 1, 1955. Together they raised four wonderful children. Elaine loved to bowl and golf. She received her first hole-in-one at the Oxford Hills Golf Course. Elaine and Clinton enjoyed traveling the country and have spent many vacations in Las Vegas, New York City, and Hawaii. Beloved wife of Clinton Wilbur Turley for 62 years. Loving mother of Jan Kujawski (Dennis Kirsch), Bill Turley (Jeannie), Ed Turley (Shari), and Dan Turley (Amy). Cherished grandmother of Jeff (Amanda), Kelly, Cody, Brad (Rachelle), Jason (Natalie), Kyle (Elena), Colleen (Mike), Bart, Byron (Alison), Tabetha (Chris), and Eric (Jessica). Great-grandmother of many. Sister of Martha Keyes (Paul) and the late Marlene DeVillier (Raymond). Also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, and cousins. Visitation will be held on Saturday, January 6, 2018 from 2:00 pm until the time of the funeral service at 3:00 pm at the A.H. Peters Funeral Home, 32000 Schoenherr Rd. at Masonic, Warren. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to the Dementia Society of America would be appreciated.
