Clinton Russell Bogen was born on June 8, 1947, the third son of William and Patricia (Gutenberg) Bogdziewicz. He graduated from Denby High School in Detroit in 1965 and attended Ferris State University. He served in the U.S. Army in the 1960's and was stationed in Germany. Upon his discharge, he married his beloved wife of 48 years, Joan Murphy, and together they raised their two children.
Clint was employed at the A. H. Peters Funeral Home, Chrysler Corporation, the Westin Hotel, and was a licensed builder for many years. In addition to being a loving husband and proud father, he enjoyed coaching youth sports, especially baseball, and served on the Board of Directors for the Grosse Pointe Woods-Shores Little League in the 1990’s. He cherished spending time with his family especially when it meant bowling in his family/friend league or playing a round of golf.
Clint is predeceased by his parents. Along with his loving wife, Clint is survived by their sons Marty (Favi), Jimmy, and their grandson Ethan. Also surviving are his siblings Ronald, Thomas (Georgia), William (Kathy), John (Adriana), Terri (Ron Kachmar), and cousin Michael Black (Pam). He also leaves a large extended family of in-laws, nieces, nephews, cousins, and many friends.
Due to the Executive Order of the Governor of the State of Michigan and an abundance of caution by the Archdiocese of Detroit, there will be no visitation or funeral mass. Funeral arrangements are being handled by A. H. Peters Funeral Home.
A memorial and service to celebrate his life will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to the https://gpcrisisclub.org/donate-to-the-grosse-pointe-crisis-club/">Grosse Pointe Crisis Club or https://www.michiganhumane.org/donatenow/">Michigan Humane Society.
