Willie Mae Gault

Willie Mae Gault, was born on April 20, 1941 in Griffin Georgia to the late Mrs. Lelia Mae Hawthorne on Saturday June 24, 2017 we lost a true angel! Willie Mae was married to James Gault Jr. they had two children, the late Clara Gault-Freeman and a son Willie Gault both of Griffin. She was a loving wife and amazing mother and an unconditional friend. Her giving nature even to a perfect stranger was uncanny and very rare! Her smile was infectious and made others smile. She was always on the go!

She was the second oldest of 11 siblings. They called her "Sister" not only was she a sister to her siblings, but she considered everyone she meet her family!

She was a member of Wolf Creek County Line Church for over 50 years.

Willie Mae "Sister" leaves to cherish her memory, her husband, James Gault Jr. her son Willie Gault; 2 grandchildren, Shakari Gault and Gabriel Gault of California; 5 sisters, Odasa Akins, Gladys Jordan and husband Johnnie Jordan, Annie Tyce, Leala Hawthorne and Nancy Watts and husband Lonnie Watts; her brothers, Early James (Sonny) Hawthorne, Turner Hawthorne and wife Pat Hawthorne, Jesse Hawthorne, Leroy Hawthorne and his wife, Pat Hawthorne and Michael Hawthorne; 27 Nieces and Nephews and a host of great Nieces and Nephews.

Special thanks to her family for helping her in her last year's especially Early James (Sonny) Hawthorne, Annie Tyce, Leroy Hawthorne, Marshawn Jordan, Stephanie Jordan and Johnnie Jordan.

I can never repay her for her sacrifice! Words cannot express the gratitude and thanks for her personal Angel, who came to her in the form of her sister and care taker for the last 10 years, Ms Gladys Jordan.

My mother will live on in the memories of our hearts and souls forever! All of us who knew her and those who were moved by her, know!, that you we're touched by an Angel.

Memorial services for Mrs. Willie Mae Gault will be held on Wednesday, June 28, 2017 at 6:00Pm in the chapel of Haisten McCullough Funeral Home. The family will receive friends following the service.
