Mr. Chambers was born June 2, 1950 in Griffin, Ga., the son of the late Frank Chambers and the late Mary Chambers Pitts. He worked as a certified welder and mechanic and was considered to be exceptionally skilled in his line of work. He was also preceded in death by his brother, Grady Chambers.
Survivors include his daughter, Amanda Chambers, of Griffin; granddaughter, Mary Ellaina Chambers, of Griffin; sisters and brothers-in-law, Mary Buffington of Macon, Ga., Frankie Blackwell of Conyers, Ga., Lois Pitts of Griffin, Ga., Ruby and Phillip delaPlata of Griffin, Ga., Joy and Gary Huckaby of Charleston, SC., and Edna and Roger Dye of Meridianville, Alabama; former wife and loving friend, Iris Chambers; and special friends, Joel and Rhonda Brady.
A memorial service for Mr. Ronnie Chambers will be held Monday, Jan. 3, 2011 at 3:00 in the chapel of Haisten McCullough Funeral Home with Rev. Buren Goss officiating. Friends may visit the family from 1:00 until 3:00 Monday at the funeral home.
