Mrs. Thompson was born November 5, 1950. She was a member of Eagles Way Church. Mrs. Thompson was a graduate of West Georgia College a PHI MU Sorority Member with a B.S. Degree in early childhood education. She taught 1st grade in Fayetteville for many years and ended her career at Moreland Road Elementary with 35 plus years in education. She was preceded in death by her father, Walter A. Pitts.
Survivors include her husband, Michael Thompson; son & daughter-in-law, Jared & Crystal Thompson; daughter, Chelsea Thompson; mother & step-father, June Pitts & Jim Gordon; sister & brother-in-law, Ginger & Mike Key and nephew & his fiancé, Jacob Jones & Ashley Hanes. Aunts, uncles, cousins and other family also survive.
Funeral services for Mrs. Patricia Ann Thompson will be held Saturday, March 22, 2014 at 12:00 p.m. at Eagles Way Church. Pastor Buren Goss and Dr. Ralph Martin will officiate. Interment will follow in Westwood Gardens. Friends may visit the family on Friday, March 21, 2014 from 6 – 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
