Jackie was born February 25, 1949 in Griffin, to the late Claude and Vera Dearing. He was preceded in death by his sister, Patricia Worthy. Jackie was a firefighter for the City of Griffin for 16 years and operated Dearing Garage for many years.
Mr. Dearing loved spending his days riding his motorcycle and spending time with his family.
Mr. Jackie Dearing is survived by his former wife and best friend, LuAnn Dearing; sons & daughters-in-law, T.J. Dearing and Ashley Anthony, Buster and Lisa Dearing, Jeremy and Melissa Penton, Shane and Lisa Penton; daughters & son-in-law, Stephanie Goldstein, Jennifer and Keith Maddox; 18 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild. He is also survived by his brother, Jimmy Dearing of California.
Visitation for Mr. Dearing will be Thursday, September 22, 2016 from 7 – 9 p.m. at the funeral home. The funeral service along with final goodbyes will be held Friday, September 23, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Haisten McCullough Funeral Home. Rev. Mike Greer will officiate. Burial will follow in Westwood Gardens.
