William H. Lind

Bill graduated from David Douglas High School in 1962. He went to Portland State University and George Fox College. Bill served his country in the U.S. Air Force. He was married to Marilyn Downie for 37 years. They divorced in 2005. Bill was a long time Tigard, Oregon resident who also lived in Portland and currently lived in Troutdale. Bill was a Systems Manager for Freightliner.

Bill’s hobbies included playing golf, Oregon State Athletics, fantasy sports, classic cars, and attending spring training baseball camps.

Survivors include his son Greg and wife Sarah Lind, of Portland, OR., daughter Kristin and her husband Terry Brooks, of Tigard, OR., and grandson Parker Lind. Bill was preceded in death by his parents, Albert and Wynona (Hardy) Lind and his sister Betty Leu.

Private graveside service will be held at Willamette National Cemetery in Portland, Oregon.

Donations may be given to the Oregon State University Athletic Fund in Corvallis, Oregon.
