Wanda Elizabeth Collins, 71 of Boring OR, passed away on Friday, September 5, 2014. She was born on April 12, 1943 in Port Angeles, Washington to Bud and Jane (Knittle) McStott. She married Griffith “Griff” Jay Collins on December 12, 1965 in Portland, Oregon. Together they owned and operated A & B floor covering, Ger Products, GJ Construction, Collins Consulting and Griff’s In & Out Restaurants in Sandy and Government Camp. She was also a member for 37 years of the Elks Lodge 1805 in Gresham. She enjoyed bowling, skiing (both snow and water), camping, cooking and flowers. Wanda loved her family, her squirrels and was an avid Duck Fan.
She is survived by her husband Griff Collins of Boring OR; sons Jim Collins (Jeanette) and Joey Collins both of Boring OR; daughter Elizabeth Collins of Boring OR; brother Cleve McStott of Anchorage AK; sister Sue Corliss (Vic) of Elma WA; four stepchildren, seven grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
A Celebration of Wanda’s Life will be held at 11:00am on Saturday, October 4, 2014 at the Gresham Lodge No. 1805, B.P.O. Elks, 3330 NE Division, Gresham OR 97030. Contributions may be made as donations to the National MS Society – Oregon Chapter, 5331 SW Macadam Ave Suite 290, Portland OR 97239. Arrangements entrusted to Bateman Carroll Funeral Home in Gresham, Oregon.
