Walt was a graduate of Gresham High School. He served in the Oregon National Guard.
Walt was a member of the Gresham Elks Organization, the American Legion, and the Moose Lodge in Gresham.
Walt enjoyed fishing, hunting, camping, was a collector, and loved to travel.
Walt was preceded in death by his sister Carolyn M. Stroud and his parents.
Walt is survived by his daughter Jodi Hawkins, brother Ray E. Stroud, sister Helen Paschall and his brother Keith L. Moore, plus his three grandchildren, Cheraiah, Deonte and Haley.
On Sunday, February 9, 2020 from 2-5 p.m. there will be a celebration of Walt’s Life at the Gresham Elks Club located at 3330 NE Division St. in Gresham.
