Troy was born on January 2, 1977 to Mike and Carol Morrison in Portland, Oregon. The family soon moved to Gresham, where he went on to graduate from Barlow High School in 1995. Troy took some college classes, but would ultimately follow his father into business at Tricoat Painting.
While attending Barlow High School, he met his future wife, Jennifer, but it wasn’t until they reconnected in 2004 that the two became a couple. Three years later, in 2007, Troy and Jennifer were married.
Troy was always the life of the party, even while being the designated driver for his friends. He was hardworking, but easygoing, and was always there to help others, even when he was sick. A big presence whose voice would fill a room, Troy could be heard cheering at U of O games with his friends, or laughing around a campfire. Those memories made on the water at Cove Palisades or Ocean Shores with Jennifer, his daughter, Marissa, and all their friends, were where Troy was happiest. He was an adventurous, outdoorsy guy who could back the family’s travel trailer into even the trickiest of spaces without a problem.
Troy will always be remembered by his joy, responsibility, giving heart, and bold spirit.
He is survived by his wife, Jennifer and their daughter Marissa; his father, Mike Morrison; brother, Matt Morrison; cousin, Mindy Grant; grandma, Beanie; and numerous other devoted friends and loved ones. He is preceded in death by his mother, Carol.
A celebration of Life will be held at Bateman Carroll Funeral Home on Saturday, August 19, at 11am with a reception to follow.
Fond memories and expressions of sympathy may be shared at www.batemancarrollfunerals.com for the Morrison family.
