Theodore James Johnson, 75 of Beaverton OR, passed away on Sunday, December 24, 2023. He was born on October 12, 1948 in Portland, Oregon to Theodore and Lucille Johnson. He graduated from Sunset High School and received his Bachelor Degree from Portland State University. Ted worked as an electrical engineer for over twenty years with Tektronix.
Ted was a dedicated Christian and attended several churches over the years. He was a past longtime member of the Mazama’s Mountain Club and loved camping, photography, playing chess and had an avid passion for restoring cars.
Ted is survived by his sisters Barbara Sonnenberg (and her husband Karl) and Cheryl McGuire both of Beaverton OR; sister-in-law Barbara Johnson of Mesa AZ and numerous nieces and nephews.
No formal services will be taking place. A private interment will be at Douglass Pioneer Cemetery in Troutdale, Oregon. Arrangements are entrusted to Bateman Carroll Funeral Home in Gresham, Oregon.
