Sandra Lee Mason Clayton

Sandra was born on March 20, 1939 in Burley, Idaho to Arnold and Pearl (Miller) Mason. She graduated from Payette High School in Idaho. She moved to the Portland/Gresham area in 1958 and attended Good Samaritan Nursing School. Sandra married Robert Clayton on April 5th, 1959. This April would have been their 51st Anniversary. Sandra worked for the Gresham School District for 27 years. She spent most of that time at Highland and Powell Valley, retiring from East Gresham.

Sandra enjoyed sewing, cross-stitching, quilting and reading. She also liked going crabbing and fishing. She and Robert enjoyed travelling all over the country together in their motor home. They went on many cruises including ones to Alaska, the Caribbean, and the Panama Canal. They also took a trip to Australia and New Zealand. Most of all, Sandra loved her family and spending time with them. She was a dedicated mother and grandmother and always attended every sporting event. She was patient, loving and a great friend to all she met.

Sandra is survived by her husband, Robert of Damascus; son, William Clayton of Rhododendron, OR; daughter, Kristin Castner of Troutdale; daughter, Lisa Clayton of Troudale; sister, Julie Macintosh of Iowa; brother, Jeff Mason of Pocatello, Idaho; brother, Arnie Mason of Payette, Idaho; and 4 grandchildren.
