Ruthster you are so missed and by so many people.  As your baby sister I looked up to you and got such great advice from you on how to be the best person that I could be in this life.  The most important was to be kind and to treat people the way that I would want to be treated.  You always had a kind heart and soul.  We went through so much together and we were each other's  rock when life just got to be to much to bear.  And we got thru the hard times 
 We didn't have to talk every day but when we did get in touch again it was as if no time had passed at all.  We were so much alike that at times it was just to funny and we had to laugh, we liked the same books, our favorite color blue and holidays. Seasons which was Fall time the leaves changing colors and coming down and Halloween coming up again which just won't be the same without you here.  I will forever keep you in my heart and thoughts.  I will miss you always as so many people do,  we have all been blessed to have you in our life.

Mom and I shared so much. Memories of camping, antique stores and family get together as a child. We shared so much fighting breast cancer.  We had so many conversations. Made fun of the “ gross things” laughing and finding strength in each other. It’s not fair, we beat it! I’ll always remember our conversation in the middle of the night after your surgery. Unconditional love ❤️ Love you to the moon and back.  Thank you for teaching me to be  strong and overcoming the bad. I never thought you’d be gone. I’m not sure how to go on without you, but will try to live by your example of unconditional love 

When I had my daughter, Mom came to take care of me when Scott went back to work. I confided in her that I was terrified as a new mother and she departed this wisdom; she said unconditional love, patience and consistency are the best you can offer your kids. If you can do those things, your kids will be alright. Also, a swat on the butt if it's necessary ain't out if the question either. If your kids become good adults, you've done your job. Thank you for all your wisdom Mom, I was blessed to have you for the time that I did. I love you always.

Mom, you have brought so many happy memories to my life. Camping on my birthday, a trip to Pixieland, and let's m it forget EnChaunted forest. We always enjoyed out family adventures.
         My greatest memories came after I became a mother . The look in.you eyes when you held them for the first time was priceless. You have taught us strong family bonds will last a life time. I will miss our morning coffee and talks, conversation in the kitchen while making dinner. I love you too the moon and back ! I never knew it would be so hard to say good bye. Nette
          

I think I was 12 when I first meant Ruth.  Glen brought her to Mom & Dad's for us all to meet her. She was shy and very friendly to us all.  Glen and Ruth married just before I turned 13 and I think we were friends from then on.  As I sit here in Georgia, a long way from Oregon (wishing I was there with the family & my brother) I remember all the times that Ruth and I would have long talks about everything.  We worked on genealogy together, talked about our children and then later our grandchildren and Ruth would talk about her great grandchildren.  We went shopping together (she loved Dollar Tree), had lunch together, we even went camping together when our children were young.  I remember the one camping trip when Rena was a baby and had colic and we took turns holding her and keeping an eye on the other children.  I will always remember our times together with fond memories.  Love you Ruth and I know that you are with God now and all your family who passed on before you.

My dear Aunt Ruth,
I believe that it was my 10th birthday in July. We were staying with Ruth & Glen. All day long  Ruth was looking through the couch , digging through drawers. I just thought she was cleaning. I babbled on about my birthday and Ruth and a couple of the older kids walked to the store.
As I was feeling sorry for myself Ruth and the kids starting singing happy birthday to me. Presenting me with a huge cookie monster cupcake , a ribbon stick ( oh how I loved that gift ) and blew off fireworks  just for me!
Now that I'm grown up I know now  she was digging around the house for money to get me something, and she knew I was missing my mom and dad
And what do you know , the phone didn't ring but my parents were on the phone to tell me happy birthday.
