Robert Spencer Robertson, 91 Troutdale OR, passed away on July 21, 2024. He was born in Upland, California on April 21, 1933 to Martha Christina Wilhelm & Robert Paul Robertson. He grew up and schooled in Ontario, CA, completed 8th grade and helped parents managed their farm in Bisbee, AZ until the age of 17.
Bob joined the Navy in 1950-1954 continued education and training in the service. After the service he met and married Rosemarie Anderson and had three daughters; Lara Lee Russell whom entered into rest Feb. 4, 2004, Cindy Russell & Christine Mickelson. While residing in California, Bob worked for Firestone Tire Manufacture until 1972. He loved riding his motor cycle, surfing, traveling, gardening and spending time with his family.
In 1968, Bob met Francis Lee Knopp, they resided in CA then moved to Oregon until she passed in 1990. He worked in the ship yards of Portland for F.M.C. amongst a variety of Building projects, until he joined the Local Union 290 as a Steamfitter/Pipefitter and worked for Intel Manf. until he retired.
Bob met his lifetime partner he called his” Sweetheart Polly” Pauline Nash in 1990 at Mr. B’s Country Club and Dance bar and spent the rest of his life enjoying time with his family and friends. He had many more hobbies, camping, fishing, hunting archery, to name a few but mostly Love playing music with his guitar, fiddle and mandolin, gardening with his flowers, puzzle’s & building model airplanes.
Bob is survived by sweetheart Polly Nash, his 2 daughters, son in law Mark Mickelson step daughter Gale & Peter Renfro and step son Glen Nash, as well as many grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.
A Celebration of Bob's Life will be at 11:00am on Monday, August 12, 2024 at Bateman Carroll Funeral Home, 520 W Powell Blvd in Gresham, Oregon. Military Honors will follow at 2:00pm at Willamette National Cemetery in Portland, Oregon.
