Robert "Bob" Keith Preas, a reident of Troutdale, Oregon, died on February 22, 2010 in Gresham. He was 62 years of age.
Bob was born on March 30, 1947 in Walla Walla, Washington and was the son of Robert O. and Vilet D. (Philpott) Preas. He attended grade school in Milton Free Water and attended Pasco High School and in 1964, he moved to Portland, Oregon.
On September 5, 1965 he married Linda Behrent in Weiser, Idaho. They resided in Portland where they had two daughters. In 1994, he moved to Troutdale.
Bob worked for Portland Wire and Iron as a welder for 10 years and in 1976, he moved on to be a supervisor/welder for Oregon Iron Works. He retired in 2000.
Bob was a compassionate, loving family man. He loved his family and cherished every moment spent with them. He was giving and always willing to extend a helping hand. He was truly a perfect role model for his two daughters. Bob also had a passion for classic cars and made a hobby out of restoring them.
Bob is survived by his wife, Linda of Troutdale, daughters, Carie Dickison of Troutdale and Shelly Preas of Troudale and sister Lois Jean Schafer of Milton Free Water along with 4 granddaughters, Courtney, Alisha, Brooke and Angela.
A graveside service will be held on Monday, March 1, 2010 at 11:00 am at Forest Lawn Cemetery in Gresham. Contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Foundation. Bateman Carroll Funeral Home is handling the arrangments.
