Robert Edward Lowe was born in Orange, CA on July 30, 1949 to William and Barbara Lowe and passed away December 26, 2018. He grew up in Santa Ana, California; and graduated with a Bachelor’s of Science from University of Oregon in 1971. He was a member of Phi Delta Theta Fraternity and served as President his senior year. He attended Golden Gate University School of Law where he received his Doctor of Jurisprudence in 1974. Rob started his private law practice in Gresham in 1976 until 1992, specializing in real property law, wills, trusts, foreclosure and bankruptcy.
During this time, he was an active member of the Gresham community serving for 8 years as a member of the board of trustees for the Mount Hood Medical Center and two years as President; twice as Vice President of the Gresham Chamber of Commerce and member of the Board of Directors for seven years; Board of Trustees for Mt. Hood Medical Center and President; and President elect and member of the Board of Directors for four years at the Gresham Rotary Club receiving the Paul Harris Fellow Award. He was most proud of his involvement with the initial conceptual and organizational development of the Mt. Hood Festival of Jazz.
Currently, Rob was Vice-President and Counsel for Old Republic Title Company of Oregon and Old Republic National Title Insurance Company. During his career in Title Insurance, he was a member of the Oregon Real Estate Forms Committee and Legislative Committee of the Real Estate Section of the Oregon State Bar Association. He most enjoyed being a speaker at hundreds of seminars concentrating on real estate law.
Rob was a devoted Oregon Duck fan, lover of the arts, and cherished spending time with his family. Rob just married the love of his life Toni on September 15, 2018.
He is survived by his wife, Toni Lowe; daughter Katie Edeline and husband Darren Edeline (Natalie); daughter Bobbie Lowe; sister Carolyn Shupp; brother Bill Lowe; and his stepchildren and grandchildren he adored.

A celebration of his life will be held on Tuesday January 8 at 11 am at Bateman Carroll’s Funeral Home.
