Richard Norman Lee was born in Seattle, Washington on October 6, 1941. He graduated from North Shore High School and went into the Air Force for four years and he was stationed in Alaska and California. Then he worked at Boeing and assisted with assembling the first 747. In 1970 he moved to Portland, Oregon and he met the love of his life, Shirley Whitehead on Valentine’s Day in 1970, and they married in October of 1970. He worked in car sales, management and wholesale. Richard was passionate about golf, fishing, car racing, basketball and football. In his younger years, he enjoyed drag racing and skiing. He was a loving and supportive husband, father and grandfather, and he enjoyed making his friends and family laugh with his light hearted sense of humor. Richard Lee passed away in Clackamas, Oregon December 2, 2014. He is survived by his wife, Shirley Lee; daughter Tricia Sermon (Tyler); grandson Logan Sermon; and sister-in-law Pat Giacolini. He was preceded in death by his parents, Norman and Elma (Hall) Lee; and his younger brother, Larry Lee.
