

Patricia Anne Haak, 73 of Gresham OR, passed away on February 12, 2021. She was born on May 31, 1947 in Long Beach, California to Donald and Dorothea Kidney. She graduated from Grants Pass High School in 1965 and received her Bachelor’s degree from Oregon State University in 1970. Patsy married Frank Sutherland Haak Jr. on August 24, 1970 in Reno, Nevada. This last August Patsy and Frank celebrated 50 years of marriage.
Patsy was a school teacher for 31 years at Boring Elementary which became Naas Elementary in the Oregon Trail District. She was a member of Good Shepherd Community Church where she was actively involved with Celebrate Recovery and Women’s Bible Study. Patsy had a heart for serving and helping others. She was known for her laughter and always prayed for those in need. Patsy was an avid Trailblazers fan, a fan of all things Disney and loved Hallmark movies. Patsy and her daughter had a lot of the same passions and were very close. It was evident in Paty’s life how much she loved her husband and daughter.
Patsy is survived by her husband Frank Haak of Gresham OR; daughter Kimberly Haak of Gresham OR; brother Paul Kidney of Shady Cove OR and several family members and friends.
A Celebration of Life for Patsy will be held at Good Shepherd Community Church on Sunday, July 25th at 3:30pm. Contributions in Patsy’s name may be made to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation at www.jdrf.org or to Good Shepherd Community Church. Arrangements entrusted to Bateman Carroll Funeral Home in Gresham, Oregon.
