Ollie Mae Thrasher, 95 of Gresham OR, passed away on Tuesday, September 19, 2017. She was born on January 6, 1922 in Swan, Missouri to Carrol and Louisa (Newberry) Hammond. She married Melvin Thrasher and he preceded her in death 1986. Ollie worked as a supervisor at the Veterans Administration Hospital in Roseburg, Oregon and was a member of Women of the Church of God. She moved to Portland in 1992 and continued her membership with the WCG at Mt. Scott Church of God where she also participated with Quilted Ladies. She loved sewing and gardening.
Ollie is survived by her daughter Ruth England of Portland OR; son Bruce Thrasher of La Pine OR; five grandsons and one great grandson. In addition to her husband, her granddaughter Nicky Thrasher also preceded Ollie in death.
No Public Services will be held at this time and private inurnment will be at Roseburg Memorial Gardens. Arrangements entrusted to Bateman Carroll Funeral Home in Gresham, Oregon.
