Mark Hines was born July 10, 1957 in Cleveland, Tennessee and he died June 17, 2024. He was the fourth child of Hollis and Mary Hines. He moved to Slidell, Louisiana when he was 7 years old. He attended Slidell High School where he was active in sports. He completed some courses at LSU. He met his current wife Sue in 2007 and they were married in 2014. He was a Marketing Rep for the Electrical Industry and retired in September of 2019. He was raised as a Methodist and never lost sight of his belief in God.
He always helped his classmates organize the annual Slidell High School Reunions and never failed to attend. He was an avid "Youtube" fan and enjoyed a variety of blogs. He loved traveling with his wife and they made a point to cruise at least twice a year. He always had a positive, upbeat attitude and enjoyed talking to people. He often would tease family members just to see them laugh. He would want to be remembered as a loving husband, caring father, proud grandfather, brother, uncle and friend to many people.
He is survived by his wife Sue, his son Dillon, his daughter Taylor and her husband Mike along with his two grandchildren Grace and James. His sisters Mona, Suzy, Lori and their husbands Bobby, Michael and Waide, his brother Steven, his sister-in-law Nancy, many nieces and nephews, all of his close friends and coworkers.
He supported St Jude Children's Research Hospital and would like any donations to go to the children in memory of him.
There will not be any memorial service in Oregon, his ashes will be taken to Texas for burial.
