Marion Fischer Jacobs

Marion F. Jacobs, 80, of Portland passed on Nov. 26, 2016, in Gresham. Marion was born in St. Louis, Missouri the only child of Paul and Marguerite (Dandridge) Fischer. Upon completing high school, she pursued a bachelor’s degree in Business. Marion was married to, John M. Jacobs, III, for 36 years and together they raised three daughters, Jackie, Christine and Jennifer. She is preceded in death by her ex-husband, John. Marion was an avid reader and she enjoyed live theater. Recently, she loved spending time with her grandson, Sawyer. Marion was a longtime member of the Oregon Federation of Republican Women and will be remembered for her commitment to educating the community on government policy at the county, state and national level. She served as a member of the school board in the Novato, California. Marion was preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her stepson, John (Stephanie), stepdaughter Jackie, and daughters, Christine, Jennifer (Chet); grandchildren, Alexandra, Caitlin, Zachary, and Sawyer. A funeral service was held on December 1 at 11am at Bateman Carroll Funeral Home.
