A funeral service for Isabel will be held Tuesday, December 12, 2023 at 11:00 AM at Bateman Carroll Funeral Home, 520 W Powell Blvd, Gresham, OR 97030.
Isabel was born in Mexico but at the age of 25, embarked on a lifelong journey to the United States, settling in the Pacific Northwest. Throughout her life, she confronted numerous obstacles with unwavering resilience and a spirit that refused to be defeated. Isabel’s greatest source of pride was her family, and her love and dedication to them were boundless.
She embraced her role as a mother with immense devotion, showering her daughters with warmth, guidance, and unwavering support. Her love was a compass, guiding her family through life's joys and challenges.
Her dedication and hard work were evident in every aspect of her life, from her role as a nurturing mother to being a great grandmother, a loving sister, and wife.
A faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Isabel found strength and purpose in her faith, exemplifying its principles through her actions and kindness. Her love for God illuminated her path. A woman of deep convictions, she instilled values of compassion in her children, leaving an indelible mark on their lives. As a hard worker, her tireless efforts and humble demeanor left a lasting impact on those around her. Beyond her industrious nature, Isabel was also known for her culinary talents,
transforming meals into cherished moments making her a source of joy for her family and friends.
Isabel Jiménez leaves behind a legacy of resilience, strength, faith, and love that will forever be etched in the hearts of her loved ones. Her memory will forever be cherished by those who were fortunate enough to know and be touched by her enduring spirit.
Isabel is survived by her husband Jose Guadalupe Casas. Daughters: Yolanda Miller Martineau (Dean), Lilia Garcia, (Rene), Laura Johnson (Dennis), Ruby Medina (David). Grandchildren: Kytani Miller, Tyden Miller, Mercedes Ortiz, Mikaela Cruz (Levi), Mia Ortiz and Alexy Perez, Great-Grandchildren Scarlett Smith, and Amelia Cruz. Brothers: Manuel Jimenez (Nina) and Rafael Jimenez (Aurea) and numerous nieces and nephews. Isabel was preceded in death by her parents Jesus Jimenez Contreras and Tinidad Urena Torres, brother Leonardo Jimenez, and nephews.
