Lucille Ida Erickson

Lucille was born in Gresham, Oregon, to Elton and Viola Gradin. She graduated from Gresham High School in 1946 and from Multnomah Business School in 1948. On April 7, 1951, Lucille married K. Milton Erickson. They had 2 children: Mark (Amy) and Marcia (Arden Gustafson), and 3 grandchildren: Amanda Erickson Maher (Chris), John Erik Gustafson, and Elena Gustafson.

In the early 1950’s she worked as City Recorder for the City of Gresham. When Milt opened Milt Erickson Realty, Lucille joined him as bookkeeper at the office.

Lucille was an active member at Powell Valley Covenant Church in Gresham, where she played the piano and organ for 60 years, and served as treasurer, financial secretary and Covenant Women chair.

She will be remembered for her deep faith, servant character and generosity towards others. She enjoyed growing and arranging flowers, was known for her hospitality, cookies, cheesecake and rice pudding.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 pm Thursday, July 14, at Powell Valley Covenant Church.
