Linda Mae Marlett

Linda Mae Marlett passed away on December 6, 2015, in Milwaukie, Oregon. She was born on August 15, 1948, in Portland, Oregon, to her parents: Walter and Betty (Jarvis) Schmid. She attended Clackamas High School, and graduated in 1967. Linda went on to attend Hollywood Beauty School, and she enjoyed a ten year career as a beautician.

On February 9, 1968, Linda married the love of her life, Wayne Larry Marlett, and together they had four children. During this time, Linda became a homemaker, and she cared for her children as well as the children of family and friends. She also provided care for an elderly neighbor.

Linda had a very special place in her heart for animals. She enjoyed painting, crocheting, knitting, family outings, holidays, and spending time with her grandchildren. She will always be remembered as a kind and loving grandmother, a comforter, and for having a generous and giving spirit.

Linda was preceded in death by her father, Walter Schmid. She is survived by her husband, Wayne Larry Marlett; her children, Julie, Michael, and Leland Marlett, and Janel Beach; her grandchildren, Justin Marlett, and Nicholas, Whitney, and Brittany Beach; her mother, Betty Schmid; and her siblings, Barbara Nivison, and Mike and Clyde Schmid; as well as numerous and beloved friends, cousins, nieces, nephews, and pets. She will always be in our hearts.
