Linda was born on January 16, 1963, in Portland, Oregon. She graduated from Parkrose High School in 1981 and briefly attended Oregon State University. She was very talented athletically and had a special gift for clothing design and color schemes. She was particularly interested in photography and framing. Her sense of humor was appreciated by everyone that knew her. She was somewhat shy but could really get into a conversation, once the ice was broken. She was a beautiful person on the inside, as well as the outside, who was loved by many.
She was married to Frank Curran for 10 years. They lived in Los Angeles, California, before returning to Portland.
Linda worked in the banking and trucking industries for several years, and then in financing of automobiles, boats and the RV Industry.
Linda died on August 13, 2014. She is survived by her parents Ray and Harlene Foleen, sisters Lori Foleen (Jack Stares), Carla Crinklaw (Rick Crinklaw) Carol Martin (Michael Lamm), and by her loving companion of many years Bill Benson. Her nieces and nephews include Chris Collins (Anne), Megan Johnson (Derek), Garrett Crinklaw and Kaley Crinklaw.
Linda was a shining light for us and will remain in our hearts forever.
A memorial service will be held on Sunday, August 24, 2014 at 3 pm at Bateman Carroll Funeral Home in Gresham.
Because of Linda’s love for her dog “Ellie” and cat “Tippi”, contributions in her memory can be made to the Multnomah County Animal Shelter, 1700 W. Historic Columbia River Hwy, Troutdale, OR 97060.
