Larry was born on March 30, 1946 in Selma, California. He grew up in San Diego, California. An outstanding athlete, he lettered in four sports while in high school with football being his passion. He was an ALL-CIF recipient and highly recruited by colleges nationwide. He received a BS in Accounting from San Diego State and later completed his Master’s Degree. He had a very successful career in his field.
In 1977 he met and married his wife Michelle and they moved to Oregon, where they embraced its beauty, started and raised their family, which now includes six fantastic grandchildren.
Larry loved the outdoors, fishing, golfing, sports events and traveling. He had visited almost every state in the United States (Hawaii being a favorite), as well as Canada, Mexico, Japan, Italy, France, Greece, Croatia, Jamaica, Tahiti, and New Zealand. He lived a huge, full life and was very involved at St. Henry’s. He was on the parish council, a Eucharistic Minister, a member of the choir and the Deputy Grand Knight of Council 3179.
Words cannot express his incredible personality and energy. He was a partner, a friend, a mentor and a person who loved deeply. We know he is in heaven getting ready to start a new, wonderful adventure.
His family and friends, near and far, continue to love and cherish the life they shared with him. “Love never comes to an end”. – 1 Corinthians 13:8
