Ken Moss was born in Olympia, Washington. He lived in Naselle, Washington and Svensen, Oregon as a child, graduating from Knappa High School in 1961. He lettered in 4 sports while attending Knappa and continued his athletic career in basketball at Portland State University while earning his degree. In 1970, Ken married his wife of 42 years, Katherine and raised their two children in Gresham, Oregon.
Ken was involved in many activities and touched many lives in his 69 years. He was a teacher, coach, and counselor for 34 years primarily at Centennial High School. He developed many lifelong friends along the way. He worked at Nestucca, Hood River and Gresham High Schools as well.
Ken was an avid outdoors man who enjoyed fishing, hunting and attending his grand children's sporting events.
Ken is survived by his wife, Katherine; his 2 children, Brian (Holly) and Jennifer (Justin); his 3 grandchildren, Maloree (18), Kody (14), and Bryce (13), his mother, Frances and mother-in-law, Jean; his sisters, Phyllis and Kim and his brother-in-law, Stephen.
Donations may be made in lieu of flowers to "Just Cure It" Kids or Nature"s Conservancy or to a charity of your choice.
A service will be held on Friday, July 27, 2012 at 1:00 pm in Centennial High School's auditorium. A reception will follow in the cafeteria.
