Keith Patrick “Pat” McPhail, 95 of Portland OR, passed away on Tuesday, July 11, 2023. He was born on March 5, 1928 in Portland, Oregon to Roy and Grace McPhail. He graduated from Parkrose High School in 1947 and on August 26, 1950, Pat married Norma Richards at Westminster Presbyterian Church in Portland, Oregon. Pat also served in the United States Air Force.
Pat worked as an electronic tester for 30 years with Western Electric and was a ski instructor with the Jaycee’s for 25 years at Timberline Lodge on Mt. Hood. Pat loved all things car related – simply he “liked going fast” and was involved with various car clubs including the Old Timers Association and the Mustang Club. In addition to his passion for skiing, Pat also enjoyed biking and participated in Cycle Oregon.
His wife Norma preceded Pat in 2010. Pat is survived by his son Kevin McPhail (Lynn) of Fairview OR; daughters Kim Crawford (Adam) of Crowley TX and Shannon Bohrer (Bob) of Gresham OR; grandchildren Molly, Ellie, Ryan, Brody and Cole and great granddaughter Austen.
A Celebration of Pat’s Life will be at 11:00 am on Monday, July 17, 2023 at Bateman Carroll Funeral Home, 520 W Powell Blvd in Gresham, Oregon.
