Joseph "Joe" "Big Joe" Randall Ransly Stone

Joe was born on July 17, 1988 in Portland and was the son of Randall and Kim (Kidd) Stone. He grew up in the Portland/Gresham Area and attended Centennial High School. While in high school, Joe worked as an intern for the local sports radio station The Fan. Most recently, he was enrolled at Mt. Hood Community College where he was going to study History.

Joe was a big hearted, witty person with a lot of spunk and character. He was stubborn at times but fiercely protective of his family and friends. He loved animals; especially his dogs, and loved spending time with his nephews, Holden and Sage. Joe was a sports fanatic and was an encyclopedia of sports knowledge and stats. He also enjoyed music, cooking, playing his X-Box and hanging out with his friends. He will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Joe is survived by his parents, Randy and Kim of Portland, sisters, Megan (sons, Holden and Sage) Stone of Gresham, Kelsey Stone of Portland, grandparents, Harold and Terry Kidd of Missouri and Gary and Marie Hanson of Durham, Oregon and his Aunt, JoNell Kidd of Portland along with numerous other aunts, uncles, cousins and many friends.

A celebration of Joe’s life will be on Friday, October 11, 2013 at 11:00 am at Bateman Carroll Funeral Home in Gresham. A committal will follow at Forest Lawn Cemetery. Contributions may be made in memory of Joe to the Oregon Humane Society. Bateman Carroll Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.
