John looked forward to seeing Christ his savior face to face. During his lifetime John was a wonderful husband, devoted father of 9, loving grandfather and a kind friend.
In his life of many adventures with his wife, John had been a group home parent and youth pastor. He was a mathematician, poet, romantic, naturalist and animal lover.
Always an optimist, he believed the best in people and did all he could to help others no matter who they were. Humble and generous he helped with care-giving for his father-in-law. John loved to laugh and make others laugh too. He also loved to dabble in science and inventing. A long time sports enthusiast he always wanted to encourage kids and had coached a Special Olympics team.
Everyone who knew John will remember his smile and jovial manner.
His family has many fond memories of road-trips, spur of the moment outings and of a father who would always back your dreams no matter how big or small.
