Jennifer Mary Reeve Little

Jennifer was born on September 12, 1942 in Colchester, Essex, England and was the daughter of Charles and Mary (Bennett) Reeve. She completed school in Colchester and on January 16, 1963 she married Ronald Little in Braintree, England.

In 1966, she moved to Duluth, Minnesota with her husband and young son. In 1967 Ronald was deployed to Vietnam and Jennifer, pregnant with her second child, returned to England to be closer to her family. 10 months after the birth of her daughter, she moved to Portland and later Gresham.

Jennifer worked for Cornett Dime Store in Gresham as a Clerk. She also worked as a nurse’s aide at Rest Harbor Nursing Home for many years as well as for Dunkin Donuts in Gresham. She later retired.

She enjoyed bird watching, gardening, flowers and nature. She also enjoyed caring for the family of Raccoons that resided in her back yard. She was kind and strong; a wonderful friend to so many. She will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Jennifer is survived by her daughter, Kristie (husband, Randy) of Portland and her sisters, Ann Trott and Susan Riley both of England. Her husband, Ronald and son, Carl both preceded her in death.

A Celebration of Jennifer’s life will be held on Saturday, December 1, 2012 at 1:00 pm at Bateman Carroll Funeral Home in Gresham. She will be laid to rest with her husband at Willamette National Cemetery. Contributions may be made in memory of Jennifer to the American Heart Association or to Susan G. Komen. Bateman Carroll is handling the arrangements.
