James "Tony" Anthony Litzer

James Anthony (Tony) Litzer March 15th, 1943 – April 1st, 2023. Tony passed away April 1st, 2023 shortly after his 80th birthday.

He was born to Jack and Ethel Litzer. He grew up in Camas Washington, worked his way through College at Blitz Weinhard Brewery and graduated with a teaching degree in English and history from Portland State University. He met the love of his life, Toni Lussenden, on a blind date in 1966. Shortly after they began dating he was drafted and sent to Vietnam. He served in the army for almost 2 years and when he returned home in 1968 he married his wife of 54 years.

He spent the majority of his teaching career at and retired from Gresham High School. He was a devoted husband to Toni Litzer and a loving father to his two daughters Stephanie Litzer and Emily Litzer-Keppler (husband Keith); and a proud grandfather to Steven, Tyler, Isaac, Jack and KJ Keppler; and a proud great grandfather to Keyera Keppler.

He was preceded in death by his parents and sister Sally Parks. A celebration of life will be held Saturday June 24th at 2pm. at his home 16221 SE Tibbetts St. Portland, OR 97236.
