Isabelle Rose Marie Cain

Isabelle Rose Marie Cain, 90 of Gresham OR, passed away on Friday, January 27, 2012. She was born on May 15, 1921 in Seattle, Washington to Frederick and Inga (Beckstrom) Hanson. She graduated from Queen Anne High School and received her Bachelor’s Degree from Seattle Pacific University. She also attended Prairie Bible Institute in Three Hills AL, the University of Washington and Biola University in LaMirada CA. She married Thomas M. Cain on September 19, 1948 in Seattle, Washington and he preceded her in death in 2005. Isabelle was a missionary in India from 1949 to 1964 and was a school teacher in Edmonds WA for 15 years. She was a member of Auburn Baptist Church for over 30 years. She was an avid traveler and loved doing crafts.

She is survived by her sons Tom Cain of Gresham OR and Phil Cain of Fort Worth TX; daughter Cathy Merlo of Gresham OR; sister Stella Kimble of Everett WA; eight grandchildren and ten great grandchildren.

A Service of Remembrance will be held at 1:30pm on Saturday, February 18, 2012 at Grace Community Church, 1320 Auburn Way S, Auburn WA 98002. Arrangements entrusted to Bateman Carroll Funeral Home in Gresham, Oregon.
