Gordon Alma Larsen

Gordon Alma Larsen, 83 of Gresham OR, passed away on Friday, June 23, 2017. He was born on July 11, 1933 in Salt Lake City, Utah. He was the sixth of eleven children to Bergetta Dorcus Nelson and Norman Carl Larsen. Gordon served in the Air Force during the Korean War as an aircraft mechanic and was stationed in Portland, Oregon. During this time he met and married his wife of 62 years Norma Knight.

Together they had four children; Sharol Jean Bench, Carl Gordon Larsen (Mary), Eileen Gayle Bowcut (Bruce) and Michael Lewis Larsen (Nancy). They were blessed with twenty-three grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren. Gordon was preceded in death by his parents, a sister Anna Virginia, a brother Carl Fredrick and sister Margene Bergetta.

Gordon’s Memorial Service will be held at 11:00am on Friday, June 30, 2017 at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, Gresham Stake Center at 3600 SE 182nd Ave in Gresham, Oregon. Interment with Military Honors will take place at 12:00pm on Wednesday, July 5, 2017 at Willamette National Cemetery in Portland, Oregon. Arrangements entrusted to Bateman Carroll Funeral Home in Gresham, Oregon.
