Gerald "Jerry" Edward Brown, age 81, of Washougal, Washington passed away on Tuesday, March 25, 2025, which was the same date he met Cheri Brown just 54 years ago. She was the love of his life and he comforted her until his dying moment. That’s the kind of husband he was. He spoiled her every chance he had, anything to make her happy because she was his favorite person. His family wants you to understand how strong their love was. They were married for 53 years and had three children, Jeremy James, Aaron Robert and Laura Darlene Brown.
Jerry served in the Navy “Kiddie” Cruise. He was an amazing father and really showed up for his kids. He was a scout master and helped his oldest son achieve Eagle Scout. He taught hunter education and wilderness survival. He loved fishing, hunting, and taking his family on camping adventures. He was a member and then President of the EAC for Freightliner for many years. He was the director of the Navy Assault craft retirement group.
Jerry loved his children deeply, and taught them many skills but mainly how to be strong, work hard, and take care of each other. He was a brilliant man that always had the answer and was constantly learning something new to share with everyone. He lived his dream, to travel and see the world. He and Cheri traveled by RV for 23 years. He lived his life as an example for his kids. He was a man that would help anyone.
His faith in God took him to a better place. In our hearts we know he is fishing in the sun every day, with a purple rocking chair next to him waiting for his beloved Cheri to join him.
