Gayle Ann Bernards

Gayle Ann Emerson Bernards, peacefully passed away on August 25, 2022. Gay Ann, as she was known growing up, was born December 14, 1952, in Salem, Oregon. Gay Ann graduated from McNary High School in 1971 and Oregon State University in 1976. She married her high school sweetheart, Bob Bernards on June 11, 1977.

Gay Ann worked for the State of Oregon, Allied Systems and the Franciscan Montessori Earth School, but the job she was most proud of was raising her two boys. Gay Ann was a devoted wife and mother. She enjoyed spending time with family be it boating, supporting the boys sporting events or hosting family gatherings. Gay Ann was a friend to all, welcomed everyone into her home and was eagerly awaiting the birth of her first grandchild.

Gay Ann is survived by her loving husband Bob; children Kyle Bernards of Wood Village, OR; Scott (Alle) Bernards of Milwaukie, OR; sister Kathy Wadsworth of Salem, OR; half-sister Karen Bucholtz of Longview, WA. Preceded in death by her parents Chuck and Trudy Emerson of Salem, Oregon; brother William Killinger of La Pine, OR and half-sister, Sandra Albertini of Longview, WA.
