Fredrick Joseph Monroe

Fred Monroe died on May 20, 2013 in Portland, Oregon at the age of 74. He was born on September 5, 1938 in Sweetwater, Tennessee to Charles and Viola (Evans) Monroe.
Fred served his country in the U.S. Navy. He married Jane Marusek in 1961 in Detroit, Michigan. Jane died in 1993.
Fred enjoyed fishing and metal detecting. In 1978 he moved to Gresham, Oregon.
Survivors include his three children, Jeff (Cyndy) Monroe, Portland, OR., Loretta (Steve) Ryan, Portland, OR., and Roger Monroe, Portland, OR., brother Tom Monroe, TN., four sisters, Vivian, Lois, Linda and Martha, who all live in Tennessee; and four grandchildren, Austin and Avalon Monroe and Laura and Mitchell Ryan. Fred was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Peyton Monroe.
