Eva M. Kowalski passed away February 5, 2012 in Portland, Oregon. She was born March 10, 1923 to William and Myrtle Parker. Eva lived in Oregon for most of her life, including more than 20 years in Gresham, and her first and final years in Portland.
Eva graduated from Cleveland High School in 1941, and married Kenneth on August 12, 1943. Eva was a loyal and steadfast wife, keeping the home running while Kenneth was away to sea in the Navy, and taking care of him in his illness. They were married until Ken’s passing in 2003. Eva was a passionate gardener, growing roses, camellias, rhododendron, wisteria, blooming cherry blossoms, and hyacinths in her front yard. She was humble, but had a good sense of humor.
Eva was preceded in death by her husband Kenneth and son Bill. She is survived by her son, Kenneth W. (Mary) Kowalski of Portland; daughter Kathy (Gary) Willis of Troutdale, and many other loving relatives and friends.
Eva will be laid to rest privately at Willamette National Cemetery with her husband. Arrangements under the direction of Bateman Carroll Funeral Home, Gresham, OR.
