Dorothy Louise Stanfield passed away peacefully on April 11, 2024. She was born on November 3, 1925 in Henryetta Oklahoma to John and Daisy (Morgan) Winders. Dorothy attended Henryetta Grammar and High School before moving to San Diego California in 1943. In San Diego, she met and married Howard Brightman. In 1946, they moved to Portland Oregon. Dorothy was a 28-year employee of Pacific Northwest Bell, retiring in 1980. She went on to wed Robert Wilson in 1975. In 1980, Dorothy retired and the pair moved to Phoenix, Arizona. While in Phoenix, Dorothy was active in the Ladies Oriental Shrine, moving up the chairs to become High Priestess. Upon Robert’s, passing she met and married Gordon Stanfield. Dorothy returned to live in Portland in August of 2023.
Dorothy was preceded in death by her husbands and parents; brother, Kenneth Winders; twin sister, Eleanor Wilson; sisters, Wand Jo Tunnel and Tillie Rea; and her son, Chris Brightman.
Dorothy is survived by her children, Steve (Linda) Brightman, Sandi (Rich) Pavlock, and Debbie (Bob) Sattergren; eleven grandchildren, twenty-four great grandchildren, and five great great grandchildren.
